A direct descendant of “Skeletons of Tehran,” this series casts the exposed rebar frames of unfinished buildings into bronze figures: human forms built from the same structural logic as a construction site, tendons rendered as rebar, joints rendered as welds. Where the photography series shows buildings becoming skeletons, “Reinforced” shows skeletons becoming bodies.

Hooman calls this his most literal translation of his engineering training into art: every figure in the series would, structurally, actually stand.
