Cast bronze, small-scale

Year
2020
Dimensions
Series of 12 small works, 8–15 cm each

The most personal series in Hooman's sculptural work: a set of small bronze castings taken directly from dough shapes he built as a child, reconstructed from memory and cast permanently in bronze. Folded, pinched, torn, and pressed forms, the vocabulary of a four-year-old's hands, rendered in a material that will outlast every one of them by centuries.

Displayed together on a single low pedestal, the series reads like a sentence written in a language only hands know.
