Shot across two of Iran's great deserts, this series treats emptiness as a subject rather than an absence. Long exposures record salt flats, wind-carved sand formations (kaluts), and the rare human structure (a ruin, a single road, a solitary tower) that has managed to survive out there at all.
Where “Skeletons of Tehran” is about things being built, this series is about the opposite pressure: how little of what's built actually lasts, and what it takes for something to survive a place with no mercy for it.
